LUH one of the most overcrowded hospitals nationwide today

Letterkenny University Hostpital is one of the most overcrowded hospitals in the country today with 21 people awaiting admission to its Emergency Department.
The INMO trolley watch report shows University Hospital Limerick and Dublin’s St. Vincent’s hospital are the most overcrowded – with 24 people in need of beds.
323 people are waiting on a bed at hospitals across the country.
Figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show 179 people are on trolleys while a further 71 are in overflow areas of wards.
