Teens rescued off Donegal coast find their heroes through public appeal

bundoranboatA group of body boarders who rescued four teenage girls off the Donegal coast at the weekend have been identified and tracked down.
The girls had hoped to find them to say thanks after they helped bring them to safety on Saturday evening.
They had been swimming at Main Beach in Bundoran when they got caught in a rip.
A member of the public called emergency services but as they arrived the body boarders came to the rescue.
One of them, Martin Traynor from Monaghan, says he’s happy there was a happy ending:
