Donegal cousins Declan Boyle and Brian Boyle claim the Clare Stages Rally

The Clare Stages Rally has been won by Donegal cousins Declan Boyle and Brian Boyle.
The nine-stage rally rolled into the Banner County over the weekend, with over 110 cars from across the country competed.
Clare Motor Club, which held the rally in the Woodcock Hill, Kilkishen and Quin areas, has helped it keep going for over three decades.
Donegal’s Declan Boyle (pictured) and Brian Boyle in a Fiesta WRC led the field after six stages of the Clare Rally, which is the penultimate round of the Triton Showers National Rally Championship.
Some 53.1 seconds behind them was the Fiesta R5 of Monaghan’s Josh Moffett, with Clonmel’s Roy White in a Fiesta WRC, 4.6 seconds further behind in third.
Entering the final stage, the Boyles led White by a minute and 0.5 of a second with Moffett some 1.5 seconds further behind in third.
It finished with the Boyles in first, White in second, and Moffett in third.
