It’s seven straight defeats on the bounce for Finn Harps following Friday night’s loss to Longford Town at Finn Park.
Struggling Harps could have bagged a draw, but Ruairi Keating missed from the penalty spot with ten minutes to go.
Harps had fallen behind on 17 minutes when Kevin O’Connor volleyed Longford in front.
Before that, Thomas McMonagle and Packie Mailey both missed chances to give Ollie Horgan’s side the lead.
Longford though, had chances too before the break, and even in the second half they could have added a second, the best chance falling to Eddie Dsane but he bundled wide from in front of goal.
The big moment came with ten minutes left when Harps were awarded a penalty following a fould on Scully just inside the area. Keating however, saw his tame effort saved by keeper Ryan Coulter.
