Gardai renew Lifford crash appeal after injured man dies in hospital

Gardaí have renewed an appeal for information about a collision in Lifford two weeks ago today after one of the drivers involved passed away at the weekend.
The crash happened outside Lifford on ther Letterkenny Road at 3.15 on the afternoon of Tuesday August 30th.
The 72 year old male driver and sole occupant of one car was injured and taken to Letterkenny University Hospital, where he passed away on Friday. The other car was driven by a male in his early 30’s who was uninjured Two passengers, both children under seven years, were also unhurt in the collision.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have been on the road between 3pm and 3.15pm to contact them in Letterkenny on 074 9167100, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
