MacCumhaill’s are the Donegal Senior Hurling Champions

MacCumhaill's have captured the Donegal Senior Hurling Championship for only the second time in the club's history.

They beat the champions Burt 2-13 to 2-9 in the decider of the Michael Murphy Sports & Leisure sponsored competition in great conditions at sun-kissed O'Donnell Park, Letterkenny.

With Lee Henderson once again playing a real captain's role, MacCumhaill's led 1-7 to 1-5 at the interval.

MacCumhaill's, who won their only previous title in 2010, retained the upper hand in the second half and although Burt got a late goal it was too little, too late.

After the game, Tom Comack spoke with MacCumhaill captain Lee Henderson.
