Sligo Harps game abandoned due to flooding

Saturday night’s north west derby at the Showgrounds  between Sligo Rovers and Finn Harps was abandoned this evening.
Heavy rain in the first half resulted in the pitch getting flooded.
The referee took the players into the dressing room in the 21st minute and then made the decision to call off the game because of the large amount of surface water.
Sligo has been a strange hunting ground this season for Harps.
Earlier in the campaign their game was abandoned late on due to floodlight failure.
The FAI will refix the tie for another date, possibly next weekend as Harps and Sligo are not involved in the cup.
