A campaign to clear Donegal’s islands of scrapped cars and other large items is gaining momentum, with Donegal County Council allocating money to Tory for a pilot scheme.
Cllr Michael Cholm Mac Giolla Easbuig says there are issues on the islands which need to be addressed, and he’s hping to see the formation of a specific Tidy Islands Initiative.
He’s also calling on the council to examine schemes in other coastal counties to see how they have handled the issue of scrap on offshore islands…………
