Mark English gives it everything but misses out on final

The Olympic Games in Rio have come to an end for Mark English at the semi final stage of the 800m.
With the first two races run at a fast pace, Mark needed a new personal best and an Irish record to make the final.
The Letterkenny man finished the third semi 5th in 1:45.93. The race was won by Olympic Champion David Rudisha in 1:43.88.
Speaking after the race Mark said ‘I gave everything I could. I didn’t want any regrets.’
