Donegal ladies suffer three point All Ireland Quarter Final defeat

For the second weekend in a row Dublin disposed of Donegal in an All Ireland quarter-final, this time in the senior ladies championship.
Michael Naughton’s side lost out by three points at Pearse Park in Longford but they ran the Leinster kingpins right to the end.
Donegal lead by two points at the break thanks to a goal by Yvonne McMonagle but turn overs and mistakes seen Dublin. hit the front in the second half.
The returning Geraldine McLaughlin scored Donegal’s second goal to bring the game back to a point but the Dublin girls scored the final two points of the tie to book their place in the All Ireland semi final.
After the game Donegal Manager Michael Naughton questioned some of the refereeing decisions but was proud of his sides performance in a fixture that no one gave them a chance.
