Local man Sean McFadden is encouraging Letterkenny people to get behind Sinead Jennings in this afternoon's Olympic Final in Rio.
Sinead, who is competing under her married name Sinead Lynch, goes in the medal event of Rowing's Women's Lightweight Double Sculls with her partner Claire Lambe.
Friends and family of Sinead will decorate her hometown estate at Hawthorn Heights this morning and they are asking people to come out and help do up the street.
There is also an open invitation to come to watch the race in Hawthorn Heights.
The final is due to start at 2.30pm today.
Speaking on Highland Breakfast, Sean says everyone is welcome to help out and come watch on this special occasion.
