Brilliant Meeke dominates Rally Finland

Kris Meeke has taken victory on Rally Finland today.
The County Tyrone man and Paul Nagle drove their Citroen DS3 to success on the biggest event on the WRC calender, taking victory by 28.1 seconds from the Volkswagen Polo of home favourite Jari-Matti Latvala.
The brilliant drive sees Kris become just the sixth non-Nordic victor in the rally’s 65-year history. He led for almost every kilometre of the four-day gravel encounter
Kris is competing in selected rounds of this year’s championship as he develops the Citroen car for 2017.
The victory follows the win in Portugal in May and the pairs first WRC win last year at the WRC Rally Argentina.
Ireland’s Craig Breen claimed a maiden podium, finishing a further 1min 12.2sec back, in another DS 3.
It was an excellent performance by the Waterford man who is competing in his first year in the World Rally Championship.
