Donegal boast 6 Athlete’s in Irish squad at 2016 Celtic Games

Three Finn Valley AC,  two Lifford Strabane AC, and one Rosses AC  athletes have been selected for the up coming Celtic International and will represent Ireland in Wales on the 6th August .
Finn Valley’s Sommer Lecky, Danny Browne and James Kelly are on the team  which will be under the management of Finn Valley’s Dermot McGranaghan.
Lecky heads to the competition fresh from her the Irish U17 and Senior High Jump success while she also seen action at the European Youth Championship in Tbilisi.
Record breaking thrower from St Johnston James Kelly has been selected to for the shot while Danny Browne will compete in the 100m and 4 x100m relay.
Browne was a first time winner at the national championships last weekend in Tullamore.
Lifford Strabane AC have 2 Athlete’s in the squad Brendan O’Donnell goes in the Hammer while Gareth Crawford goes in the Javelin for his first call up, and Rosses AC ‘S Fodhla McFadden take’s part in the Triple Jump.
