A Donegal Senator is calling on the Education Minister to prioritise funding for the new building for Gaelscoil Cois Feabhail in Moville.
The building, which is to be used by the school, was badly damaged in a suspicious fire on Tuesday, and now additional funding will be needed to have the school up and running. Yesterday, the gaelscoil's principal told Highland Radio that the structural integrity of the remains of the building is being assessed, but at the very least, a new roof will be required.
Senator Padraig MacLochlainn says the funding must be provided as soon as possible so the project will be finished at the desired time.
He expects a response from the Education Minister within the next number of days...........
