Guildhall receives its one millionth visitor since major restoration was completed

A million people have visited Derry’s Guildhall since the completion of a major restoration programme three years ago.
Mayor  Alderman Hilary McClintock, made a special presentation to Kevin and Christine Keenan from Randalstown whose visit yesterday saw the one million figure achieved.
Derry City and Strabane District Council says since completion of its major restoration in 2013, the Guildhall has been completely transformed. The building hss been completey restored and regenerated, and a range of enhanced visitor services have been introduced.
The mayor described the Guildhall as a real treasure in terms of the city’s built heritage and tourism offering.
