It’s three wins on the bounce for in-form Finn Harps after they got the better of Galway United at Finn Park on Friday night.
In a closely fought encounter in which chances were few and far between, Sean Houston struck the winner on 70 minutes.
The midfielder was allowed far too much time and space inside the box to fire past former Harps keeper, Conor Winn.
Galway almost drew level within two minutes only for Colm Horgan’s rasping effort to strike the post.
Ruairí Keating came off the bench for Harps after signing for Horgan’s team during the week. And he will have enjoyed this victory against his former club as Harps’ push towards safety continues apace.
