The Detective Inspector who led the investigation into the 2013 murder of 41 year old Bogdan Michalkiewicz in Letterkenny has paid tribute to the Polish community for their help in bringing the case to a conclusion.
Yesterday, 22 year old Krzystof Grzegorski was convicted of murder in the Central Criminal Court after a three week trial. Another man who was also accused of involvement was acquitted last week.
Today, on the Shaun Doherty Show, Detective Inspector Pat O’Donnell recounted what was a lengthy and thorough investigation, acknowledging the contribution of local businesses who provided CCTV footage.
He told Shaun that while Grezgorski admitted killing Mr Michalkiewicz, the court had to decide if it was murder…………….
