Police appeal for information after car is stolen and set on fire in Derry



Police in Derry are investigating reports of a number of incidents in the Talbot Park area yesterday.

It is believed that sometime overnight between Monday and yesterday morning, unknown persons worked their way along the street checking houses and car doors.

At least two vehicles were entered and items taken.

A house was also entered with a set of car keys being taken and used to steal a silver coloured Nissan Qashqai parked outside.

The car was reported abandoned and on fire at the side of Glengalliagh Road at 4.20am yesterday morning.

Anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the Talbot Park area on Monday night or yesterday morning or in the Glengalliagh Road area at around 4am to contact police at Strand Road on 101.
