Gardai in Letterkenny have confirmed that 56 people have been arrested so far over the course of Rally Weekend.
23 people were arrested on Friday night in the Letterkenny area, 27 were arrested last night between the Milford and Letterkenny district while a further 6 were arrested today.
The arrests relate to a variety of offences including road traffic, public order, drink-driving and drug related.
All have been charged and bailed to appear before Letterkenny District Court.
Some will appear before the court tomorrow, while the rest will appear on the 4th and 20th of July.
Gardai say that this year more than ever, there is strong element of anti-social people who came to the town but did not attend the rally event itself.
Meanwhile one person remains in custody in Letterkenny Garda Station today and will appear before a special sitting of Letterkenny District Court this evening.
In relation to this offence, it occurred in Letterkenny but there are no further details at this stage.
