Finn Harps earn vital point away to Shamrock Rovers

Finn Harps
League of Ireland Premier Division result: Shamrock Rovers 1 – 1 Finn Harps
Finn Harps desperately needed a win today to arrest a sudden slump that has seen them concede a glut of goals.
They faced Shamrock Rovers in Dublin on Sunday afternoon and LOST / WON at Tallaght Stadium.
Harps got off to a bad start when their ‘keeper Ciaran Gallagher came off his line and was beaten by Rovers’ Gary Shaw in the eighth minute and that 1-0 scoreline remained the score at half-time.
McCabe was then sent off on 67minutes and Harps striker Kevin McHugh was put on as the Ballybofey men went in search of a winner.
It did not come but the draw earned Harps another vital point in their first season back in the Premier Division.
Coilin Duffy was there for Sunday Sport and delivered this full-time report…
