Donegal’s Brendan Boyce selected for Rio Olympics

Brendan’s Boyce had his place for this summers Olympic Games confirmed on Monday night.
Athletics Ireland have included the Milford man on their 50k walk team selection that was sent to the Olympic Council of Ireland.
The games in Rio, Brazil will be the second Olympics for Brendan who also competed at London in 2012 where he finished 29th.
The Letterkenny Athletic Club memberwho  hit the qualifying mark for the games in March has been joined on the mens team by Rob Heffernan and Alex Wright.
Brendan  is the third Donegal athlete in recent days to have a place on the team confirmed.
Rower Sinead Jennings and Badminton’s Chloe Magee were included on the first Team Ireland list last Friday.
