CPI presents politicians with proposals to alleviate Castlefinn flood risk

The Castlefinn Partnership Initiative has begun a series of political meetings to secure funding to prevent further flooding in the town.

The CPI's own building sustained serious flood damage last year, and the initiative says the flooding which hit Castlefinn twice during 2015 caused significant destruction and distress for residents, business owners and service providers in the Donegal town.

Local Cllr Gary Doherty is one of the politicians who have been meeting the group. He says it's important that the campaign for funding is stepped up............
