Update – Donegal Man killed in Castleblaney collision

Gardai are appealing for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision in Co Monaghan.

A Donegal man in his 50's died yesterday in Castleblaney when his car left the road and crashed into a wooden fence.

The incident happened at Drumcrew, on the N2 road at approximately 4pm.

The man, who was the driver of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.

A female passenger in the car was uninjured.

The deceased man has not yet been named.
