Cork City 2-1 Derry City

Cork City maintained their unbeaten run as they scored two late goals at Turners Cross to snatch the win from Derry City.

Derry's goal came nine minutes into the second half as Niclas Vemmelund scored his first goal in a candystrips shirt.

Barry McNamee's corner was met at close range by the Dane.

Derry were on course for a third win over the Leesiders this season but Cork pulled the result out of the bag with late goals.

Danny Morrissey headed in the equaliser on 84 minutes and in the first minute of injury Kenny Browne got his head on the ball from a couple of yards out to give Cork the win.

Derry remain joint third with Shamrock Rovers who lost to Wexford Youths 2-0.

They sit six points behind Cork and ten adrift of the leaders Dundalk.
