Concern over journey Inishowen residents have to make to obtain driving licence

Concern has been raised over the journey people from Inishowen have to make in order to renew or obtain a driving licence.
Licences are issued from Letterkenny since the Carndonagh Public Service Office ceased to issue them in 2013 with people having no choice to travel to the town as they must present themselves in person.
There have been calls for the National Driver Licence Service to meet with local Councillors to discuss what can be done.
Councillor Bernard McGuinness has been seeking a resolution for some time and says the service should be reinstated in Carndonagh:
