Raphoe Hockey coach wants new players and more money for club

The coach of Raphoe Hockey’s ladies’ team has said his players are the best in the North West and believes this will help attract new players in a key moment in the club’s history.
Richard Tinney was speaking after it was recently confirmed that Raphoe Ladies will be playing Premier Division Hockey next season for the first time in their history.
Richard spoke of how he took over the management when they were in Division 3 and how they have since achieved three successive promotions.
He said his first priority was to tighten the defence and score more goals at the other end.
He said that they are the underdogs as they go into the top flight and joked that they are like the Leicester City of Ulster Hockey.
Richard said it has been an extraordinary achievement by the girls and appealed for more players to join his team and for a funding injection of a200,000 Euro to help Raphoe Hockey achieve success…
