Tyrone Tiger wins at Fairyhouse

Strabane’s Suzy Barkley sent out Tyrone Tiger to win the Summer Evening Racing Handicap Hurdle at Fairyhouse yesterday evening.
Having only won once from his previous 16 starts, the ten-year-old gained a deserved second success under Andrew Lynch, hitting the front early in the home straight and digging deep after the last to fend off All About Alfie by a neck.
Tyrone Tiger, who is owned by the Applepie Syndicate, was returned the 7-2 favourite.
