The North’s Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness says following the death of Derry born Sister Clare Theresa Crockett in the Ecuadorean earthquake at the weekend, efforts are now intensifying to bring her body home.
He says as well as dealing with their grief, the Crockett family are also dealing with the struggle to get her remains returned from Ecuador, and everything possible is being done to help them.
Mr Mc Guinness added the family has asked him to appeal for privacy on their behalf, and he’s urging the media to give the family space to grieve in peace.
