It’s been confirmed that the centralisation of breast cancer referrals from Galway has ended, and appointments are again being made at Letterkenny University Hospital.
Donegal Action for Cancer Care received the confirmation from the Saolta University Hospital Group, which has also confirmed that appointemnts are now being triaged once again at Letterkenny.
DACC Chairperson Betty Holmes say they have been have working to have this change reversed since it came into effect at the beginning of last year.
She told Greg Hughes on the Shaun Doherty Show it’s a change which should never have been made……..
