Letterkenny beat Strabane in Ulster League rugby derby

Ulster League, qualifying league three: Strabane 12 – 36 Letterkenny
Letterkenny’s rugby players beat their cross-border neighbours Strabane on Saturday on a score of 36 to 12.
Strabane were the home side and forced the pace in the opening exchanges under the sun but the Letterkenny side quickly imposed their authority.
They led at half-time in this qualifying league three match of the Ulster League: Strabane 0 – 17 Letterkenny.
Letterkenny also dominated the second half and recorded their ninth victory of the season with a strong performance against their local rivals.
It was a good day for Letterkenny rugby as the U18s also won on Saturday, beating Ballyclare 22 to 12 in the Ulster U18 Cup to reach the semis.
