Derry’s Rory Patterson hits out at critics

Derry City striker Rory Patterson made a point to his critics when he scored one and could have had three in a demolition of Shamrock Rovers.
Rory, from Strabane, netted a penalty on 58 minutes to get Derry’s third goal in an impressive win on Friday and he had two goals ruled offside.
His goal was his 66th goal in 100 games for Derry and he said – in a message that seemed directed at his critics – that it is not a bad return for someone who is not fit and is always injured.
Rory also said that no matter how many goals he gets, people always claim that he should have got more.
He said he is happy with the performance against Shamrock Rovers and said Derry took them apart…
