Body of young man recovered from River Swilly

 
A body of a young man has been recovered from the River Swilly this afternoon during a search conducted by Gardai.
The search was carried out following the discovery of clothing and identification  in the vicinity of Letterkennys Port Bridge by a passerby earlier today.
Gardai have confirmed that the body is that of a 22 year old male from County Sligo and who was a student at the Letterkenny Institute of Technology.
Gardai say they are not treating his death as suspicious but are appealing to anyone who in the area of the Port Bridge in the early hours of this morning and who may have witnessed anything to contact Letterkenny Garda Station on 0749167100.
