Coalition talks resume today with housing crisis expected to be top of the agenda

Talks aimed at forming the next government are due to resume today, following a weekend of State events to remember the Easter Rising.
It’s expected the issues of water charges and the Universal Social Charge are among the most challenging when it comes to the notion of Fianna Fail and Fine Gael teaming up to form a grand coalition
However Fine Gael has reportedly offered the first concrete deal to Independents and smaller parties as they try to form a minority Government which includes promises to create a new Minster for Housing, an 8-week housing action plan and suggests ways to cut down on empty homes.
Donegal Deputy Pearse Doherty says the weekend was an opportunity for politicians to hear the concerns of the public once again and this should have an impact on talks:
