Sister of Mary Boyle will ask US politicians to put pressure on Irish government

The twin sister of missing Donegal schoolgirl Mary Boyle is flying to Washington this week to meetin with prominent Irish American politicians in a bid to highlight her quest for justice.

Mary Boyle went missing near her grandparents' home outside Ballyshannon in 1977, and is Ireland's longest missing person.

Anne Doherty will tell members of congress of her belief that Mary's killer is walking free, and the garda investigation at the time was hampered by a politician who ordered that certain people be not considered suspects.

Among those who Anne Doherty will be meeting are Congressman Brendan Boyle, whose family roots are in Donegal, and former congressman Bruce Morrison.

She wants them to put pressure on the Irish authorities................
