It has been confirmed that plans are to be lodged with Donegal County Council shortly for the renovation of a tidal swimming pool project in Ranafast.
The project came under scrutiny earlier this year after questions were raised as to why it became a priority project for Donegal County Council.
It’s believed Coiste Poll a tSnámh in Rann na Feirsde along with committee member Councillor Michael Cholm Mac Giolla Easbuig are to proceed with plans despite other Councillors in the area still having concerns.
Local Councillor Seamus O’Domhaill says while he thinks it is a good project, money could be better spent elsewhere……….
However, Cllr Michael Cholm Mac Giolla Easbuig says officials have accepted and progressed the project on merit, and it’s time for other councillors to do likewise………
