One goal enough for Hoops at Finn Park

Gary McCabe scored from the penalty sport to give Shamrock Rovers the points against Finn Harps at Finn Park.
The goal came on 69 minutes, McCabe beating Richard Brush from the spot after Gary Shaw was brought down in the area by the keeper.
It was tough on Harps who frustrated the visitors with a  battling display throughout. The home side didn’t create too many chances over the 90 minutes but while Rovers did have opportunities to break the deadlock in the opening half, it was a much closer affair after the break.
Dave Scully wasn’t too far away for Harps following good work by Raymond Foy. But then came McCabe’s penalty and it proved enough to claim a third win on the bounce for Shamrock Rovers.
