Bereaved families facing huge bills for garda files relating to 2010 crash

A road safety campaigner in Donegal says it’s inhumane that bereaved families are being charged astronomical amounts of money for garda files relating to the collisions in which their relatives died.
Susan Grey was speaking after it emerged the families of eight people who died in a car crash near Clonmany in 2010 could face costs of more than €10,000 each for copies of Garda documents already prepared for completed legal proceedings.
Susan Grey, chairperson of PARC says she’s already been in touch with the Garda Commissioner and DPP, and is awaiting responses from both.
She says the costs are unacceptable……….
