Low tourism figures for Strabane prompt calls for action

Tourism figures for Strabane last year show a significant drop in numbers visiting attractions in the area with calls on relevant bodies to come up with a solution.
A report compiled for a Business and Culture Committee meeting has revealed only 182 tourists visited the Woodrow Wilson Homestead in 2015 while the Gray’s Printing Press is only available for viewing five times a year.
Local Councillor Patsy Kelly is calling on both Derry City and Strabane District Council and the National Trust to collaborate better to promote local history:
