FAI Junior Cup quarter-final result – Pike Rovers 4 v 0 Glengad United
Donegal club Glengad United were the underdogs as they took on Pike Rovers in the FAI Junior Cup and there wasn’t a romantic cup twist.
Glengad lost 4-0 at Rovers’ home the Pike Complex in Limerick.
Pike Rovers, the 2011 champions, are the second favourites for the cup and have swept aside all their opponents in the competition this year.
Glengad conceded in the 29th minute and again in the 31st minute as Rovers established control of the game.
Glengad manager Shane Byrne told Highland Radio’s Sunday Sport show that they gave two bad goals.
Rovers now go into the draw for the semi-final and into the draw for the FAI Senior Cup.
