Donegal senior footballers lose second match in a row

Donegal GAA 2016
National Football League, Division 1: Donegal 0-17 (17) v 1-19 Roscommon (22)
Donegal suffered a second successive defeat after an opening start to Division One that saw them win three in a row.
Rory Gallagher’s men lost to away Kerry last weekend and they lost again at home in O’Donnell Park, Letterkenny, on Sunday against second placed Roscommon.
Roscommon began the match the brighter, kicking three points right away before Patrick McBrearty registered Donegal’s first point from a free.
At half-time, the score was Donegal 0-06 (6) v 0-11 (11) Roscommon.
Donegal captain Michael Murphy did his best in the second half to bring the O’Donnell County back into it, notching points to narrow the gap.
But Roscommon hit back each time and, in the end, won the match by five clear points on a score of Donegal 0-17 v 1-19 Roscommon.
