Donegal rally driver Gary Jennings has won the 2016 Mayo Stages Rally and revealed it was tough driving conditions as he claimed victory.
Gary and Rory Kennedy won in their Subaru Impreza WRC in heavy rain by over a minute to claim the opening round of the Triton Showers National Rally Championship.
They finished exactly one minute and 34.8 seconds ahead of the Subaru of Peadar Hurson.
Niall Maguire in yet another Subaru was 41.2 seconds further behind in third.
Gary also told Sunday Sport about his aims for the national championship but will race in west Cork next weekend before he makes any firm decisions about the national competition…
