All Ireland League, Division 2B: City of Derry 8 - 11 Sunday's Well (Cork)

City of Derry lost their fourth match in a row and conceded ground to title rivals Sunday’s Well of Cork.

The match was billed a Division 2B title showdown, with league leaders Derry seven points ahead of second-placed The Well as the promotion race heats up.

But that lead was cut on Saturday afternoon when Derry lost at home 8-11 as the season nears its end.

Derry’s scores were by John Burns (try) and Neil Burns (penalty).

The Well’s scores were by Shane O’Riordain (two penalties) and Ross O’Mahoney (try).
