Omagh update – “We have lost our last chance of a prosecution” says Gallagher

Charges are being dropped against the last remaining suspect in the Omagh bombing.
Seamus Daly had faced 29 murder charges over the explosion in August 1998.
No-one has ever been convicted of the murders.
The decision to drop the charges was on the basis of insufficient evidence, and the reasopns are being outlined in court in Ballymena today.
News of the development broke this morning as relatives of the deceased were making tgheir qway to Ballymena this morning.
Two of them, Michael Gallagher and Stanley Mc Comb, spoke to reporters outside the courthouse……….
