Donegal man wins gold for Ireland in Tug of War

Donegal man Liam Strain has won gold at the World Indoor Tug of War championships in Holland.
Liam, from Buncrana is a member of the Cockhill club in Inishowen, and was part of the successful Ireland 560kg team on Satuday.
They beat Northern Ireland in the semi-final to set-up a final against reigning champions Chinese Taipei.
Ireland showed great power in the international competition at Volendam in the Netherlands and won with a straight end victory.
In Friday’s club competition, Donegal man Paul Duffy, from Buncrana, won silver with his Co Louth club St Pat’s in the 560kg category.
Adrian Lynch (Buncrana) will be pulling in the 600kg category.
