Blake calls for more resources to allow gardai tackle growing drugs crisis

A prominent anti-drugs campaigner in Donegal has called for more resources to be given to gardai in Donegal in light of a heroin seizure in Letterkenny at the weekend.
A man and woman in their 40s and 30s respectively are due before Letterkenny District Court in March, after they were arrested and charged with possession of heroin and cannabis on Friday night.
Gardai say €1,700 worth of heroin was discovered along with an estimated €20,000 worth of cannabis resin on Friday night in the Long Lane area of Letterkenny.
