Donegal’s 2012 All Ireland winning goalkeeper Paul Durcan is set to play in the All Ireland Football Club Championship Final.
Durcan’s Dublin side Ballyboden St Enda’s, who are the Leinster champions, beat Clonmel Commercials of Tipperary by five points but needed extra time to do it in Portlaoise on Saturday evening.
Munster champions Clonmel, who are managed by ex-Finn Harps manager Charlie McGeever, almost made the final as they led 10- 09 with seconds remaining.
But Ballyboden squared it at 0-10 v 0-10 with two points in the last three minutes and eventually ran out winners on a score of Ballyboden 0-15 v 0-10 Clonmel.
Durcan, who has returned from working in Qatar, helped Ballyboden to come back from the brink and will now face Castlebar Mitchels in the All Ireland club final.
Crossmaglen Rangers led Castlebar Mitchels 0-8 to 0-5 at half time in the other semi-final but the closing score was Crossmaglen 0-12 v Castlebar 0-13.
