Renewed calls for safety measures at Magherabeg NS following crash

17729a 320Emergency services have attending the scene of a road traffic collision close to Magherabeg National School in Manorcunnungham.

There were no serious injuries.

Taffic in the area was disrupted for a time but has now returned to normal.

There have been continued calls for traffic safety measures to be put in place at Magherabeg National School which has 122 pupils.

A recent traffic survey of the National Primary Route showed that for the half hour in the morning, a total of 18 vehicles per minute passed the school and for the half hour in the evening a total of 20 vehicles per minute are driven past.
