McCLintock scores 58 but Ireland lose to India

Ireland under-19’s began their World Cup campaign with a 79-run defeat to India in Bangledesh this afternoon.
Despite the reverse, the Irish camp will take heart from what was a solid performance against a quality Indian outfit.
Donemana’s William Mc Clintock hit 58 as Ireland reached 189 in replay to the 268 that India had set in their 50 over innings.
William’s brother Gary and Coleraine’s Varun Chopra also played for Ireland today.
