Donegal truck driver killed in Monaghan collision is named

The Donegal truck driver who tragically died after a collision with another truck in Co Monaghan yesterday has been named locally as 30 year old Declan Holian of Ballyare, Ramelton. The driver of the other truck, who also died, was a foreign national.
The crash happened in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Declan Holian worked for local company, Sean Hegarty & Sons, and it’s believed he was on his way to Dublin to make a delivery when the crash occurred.
Mr. Holian and other trick driver died after their lorries collided in Co Monaghan. Both were the sole occupants of their vehicles.
The crash happened on the N2 between Carrickmacross and Castleblayney at around 6 o’clock yesterday morning.
Gardai in Carrickmacross are appealing for witnesses to the collision, which happened near the Broomfield junction.
