Rescue services launched in Inishowen after ‘flare’ sighting

Two Lough Swilly Lifeboats and the Rescue 118 helicopter were launched on Saturday Night following claims of a flare sighting in the lough.
The operation continued through Saturday evening but was called off around midnight when nothing was found.
The flare sighting was either  a hoax or a miss-sighting.
The search was coordinated by the Malin Head Coastguard Station.
